Antas
Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for Antas — how we handle the small amount of data that passes through the site.

Antas is an editorial arts and culture magazine. We take the view that an editorial website has no business harvesting the people who read it, and this policy describes the small amount of data that necessarily passes through our systems, why it exists, and what we do not do with it.

What we collect

Antas does not ask you to create an account, and we do not run newsletters, membership schemes, or commenting systems that would require us to hold your personal information. The only data generated by an ordinary visit is the standard server log kept by our hosting provider: the IP address making the request, the time of the request, the page requested, and basic technical details such as browser type. These logs are a routine feature of how web servers operate. We use them only to keep the site running securely and to understand, in aggregate, which articles are read. We do not use them to build profiles of individual readers, and we do not sell, rent, or share them.

Cookies

Antas sets no cookies of its own. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. You can read the magazine from beginning to end without anything being stored on your device by us.

Third-party embeds

To present our pages in the typefaces we have chosen, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, Google receives the request and may log it according to its own policies. This is the only third-party service that operates on the site as a matter of course. We embed no advertising networks, no social media trackers, and no behavioural analytics. Where an article links out to another website, that site has its own privacy practices, over which we have no control.

No advertising, no tracking

Antas carries no advertising. We do not track readers across the web, we do not participate in advertising exchanges, and we have no commercial incentive to know who you are. Our only interest is that you read what we publish.

Your data and the GDPR

For readers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the limited processing described above rests on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Because we hold no contact details or accounts, there is in practice almost nothing personal for us to disclose, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and wish to exercise your rights of access or erasure, you may contact us using the form on our contact page, and we will respond.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact form. We do not publish an email address. This policy may be updated from time to time; the version you are reading is the current one.
